1.     What types of partnerships can I build with NI ?

This following list describes typical partnerships NI enjoys with independent technology professionals and firms.

a.     Associate, Technology Manager

3.     Is this a franchise? No. You maintain and run your own business. 4.     Do I have to do any selling? If you are a "tech", no. If you are a "sales or marketing professional", yes.  Under the NI model, our Technology Managers continuously assess options for technologies for customers. NI Business Managers manage and perform the sales, marketing and account management functions for all new business development. NI Technology Managers and Business Managers work hand in hand to ensure customer satisfaction.

5.     What kind of IT Experts is NI seeking right now? The ideal technology industry professionals to partner with NI have a successful, independent business in the ICT Sector of the Canadian marketplace. Our goal: to build a network of Technology Managers covering every region of Canada

6.     What about training? NI offers access to enterprise-class training programs by tele-conference, webinar, podcast, live events & shows and lab environments. NI leverages close contact with Canada' s leading college- and university-based technology and computer science education programs to maintain the industry's leading Standardized Apprenticeship Program.

7.     Type of work I would perform? It would be like the work you now perform for your clients: tech support, backup management, migrations and upgrades, network administration, or development. NI integrates qualified Technology Managers into their respective area(s) of expertise and geographic area of residence (for onsite requirements only, not remote support or development), and offers collaboration for a team approach to problem identifications, resolutions and support.

8.     Standard practices expected of NI partners. A professional practice is essential for all NI Partners. Speak, look, and act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

9.     What if I've never run my own business before? Does NI support me? NI is ideal for independent contractors. By becoming an NI Technology Manager, you gain access to our industry leading customer acquisition programs and enterprise-grade tools to help you deliver the support and services.

10.  Do I Pay Fees to NI? No. NI Business Managers and the NI Way deliver customers, and Technology Managers and NI systems deliver exceptional technical services. All of this according to NI 's best practices and proven business process. IT's that simple.

11.  How much do I make? Contractor earnings can range from a starting pay scale of $25/hour (equivalent of $52,000/year) up to $100+/hour for specialized service and support.

12. Does NI hire me as an employee? No. NI works under a contractor model. We maintain a lean group of head office staff positions to ensure the most value to customers and maximum revenue to the associated NI Managers/Contractors. We have built an engine of continued business growth that we fuel with Canada' s top talent. Whether you are an independent contractor (no GST# or business name), a sole-proprietor, partnership, or incorporated company (with GST# and/or PST#); NI has a win-win Partnership Program for you.
